About us

Tumptonics Ltd. is a family run business, based on our farm in Monmouthshire. Founder, farmer’s wife and busy mum, Sara, was on a mission to find new ways to keep the sheep farm sustainable for generations to come, and thought what better way than maximising the resources that the farm already had. The onsite water spring, which brings the wonderful Welsh groundwater up to the surface, seemed like an obvious place to start.

Now the farm boasts a purpose-built canning plant, which draws our naturally filtered spring water from the ground, and allows us to produce from 10 to 10,000 cans per day, and more.

About our Water

Crafted in the Monmouthshire Hills just outside the Roman-founded, market town of Usk, our spring provides us with naturally filtered water, rich in trace minerals. Because our water is naturally filtered it maintains a stable composition without the need for any artificial treatments. The only exception we make is when adding a touch of refreshing bubbles to our sparkling water. The result is exceptionally fresh water that is unrivalled in quality.

The farm has been in the family for 5 generations and we plan for it to continue for at least another 5, by making the most of our natural resources through farm diversification.

Why canned water and not bottled water?

Canned water is a relatively new product. Traditionally, spring water has been sold in glass or plastic bottles, so why does Tumptonics can water?

Highly Recyclable

Aluminium cans are generally more easily and widely recycled than plastic bottles and aluminium recycling is known to be more energy efficient than recycling plastic. Plus, cans are infinitely recyclable!

Reduction of Plastic Usage

Using cans instead of plastic bottles helps reduce the demand for single-use plastic, which has been a major environmental concern due to its impact on marine life and ecosystems.

Lighter Packaging More Space Efficient

Aluminium cans are lighter than plastic bottles, which then leads to lower transportation costs and, consequently, reduced carbon emissions associated with the transportation. Alongside this, typically less power is needed to chill drinks in cans.

Preservation of Freshness

Cans also provide a protective barrier against light and air, helping to preserve the freshness and taste of the water.
